The Illini face the Spartans, ranked number 5 in the country. Michigan State is undefeated in the Big Ten (9-0) and has a 10 game winning streak. They lead every other Big Ten team by at least 3 games. UPDATE: Wisconsin beat the Spartans on Tuesday.

The Illini beat Iowa in Champaign earlier this year 59-42. But the Sqwakeyes have beaten Indiana and Penn State since then and are an improving team. Another MUST WIN for the Illini.

The Illini came from behind to beat the Hoosiers 66-60 in Bloomington. If the Illini win in Champaign, it will tie the series between these two teams at 82-82.

The Illini barely beat Penn State 54-53. But the Nittany Lions are 0-7 in the big Ten Conference this season. The Illini are 4-3 in the conference and 12-8 overall. Making the NCAA Tournament is starting to look remote for the Illini.

The Illini barely beat the Wildcats in Champaign in overtime to open the big Ten Conference Season. Since then Northwestern has beaten Michigan in Ann Arbor and a very highly ranked Purdue team.
