Illini face Stony Brook (Long Island, NY) in the NIT Tournament

The Illini beat Wisconsin, and lost in double overtime to Ohio State which is ranked #5 in the country. But it was not good enough to get into the NCAA Tournament so the Illini now must show that they can continue to improve against lesser competition.

The Kent State Golden Flashes are 24-9 and beat Tulsa in the first round. They will travel to Champaign to play the Illini in Assembly Hall.

The Dayton Flyers are 22-12 and have beaten Cincinnati and Illinois State in the NIT. They play the Illini in Assembly Hall. Win, and the Illini advance to Madison Square Garden.
